John and Susan are both trained as teachers, five years ago when they moved in together they decided to rent out Susan's house in south London. Now they have bought two other properties in the area that they rent out. John wants to give up his teaching job and put all this time and energy into expanding his property portfolio but he isn't sure how much money this could make him. Susan wants to use some of the equity that they have managed to build up to look at other investments, many of her friends are quick to offer advice, but she really doesn't know where to start.
