Phillip and Liz

will tax invest

Phil and Liz have two young children, Jake and Poppy, they know they should be planning for the future but there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. Phil runs his own business as a photographer and worries that he has no pension plans. The business only provides him with a fluctuating income and he finds it very difficult to budget for their monthly mortgage payment and other household expenses. Because they are often struggling by the end of the month, Liz would like to go back to work but thinks that childcare would cost more than she could earn. Another area that they really want to look at is their insurances. Phil took out some life insurance years ago when they bought their first flat, but that was before the kids came along, so he wants to make sure that the family will be covered if he is unable to work.

Like many people Phillip and Liz need to bring some order to their finances, they aren't sure how much they pay out every month and who it goes to. By getting a financial health check at the Your Money Matters Show they can start to understand how to budget and make the most of the money they can earn. They can look at the options for pensions and other saving schemes, and the tax issues that will affect them. With the right advice they can substantially reduce their monthly outgoings and begin to put the family on a sound financial footing.
